My name is Zack. I'm from Colorado, with half my family originally from Chile. I'm a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Santa Cruz in the Theoretical Computer Science group working under Alex Kolla. I love math, computer science, and the intersection of the two: theoretical computer science.
I did my undergrad at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I graduated with a BS in computer science and a double minor in applied math and pure math.

Outside of school, I like to Whitewater Kayak and Ski. For kayaking, some notable sections I've done are the Colorado classics Bailey Canyon and Gore Canyon (both are class IV-V). Then in California, I ran the Tobin section of the north fork of the Feather (class IV+) and the south fork of the Feather (class IV-V). For skiing, In Colorado, I've done Dragontail Couloir and Silvers Coulior (one of the 50 classic descents of North America).
