Workshops

• I attended the 2023 Summer Cluster on Quantum Computing workshop at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing as a visiting graduate student.

Reading Groups (That I Organized, at UCSC)

• Fall 2023: Representation theory of the symmetric group with applications to TCS. We primarly followed Representation Theory of Finite Groups by Steinberg and The Symmetric Group by Sagan and we read these two papers: Symmetric Groups and Expander Graphs and Low Influence Functions over Slices of the Boolean Hypercube Depend on Few Coordinates.
• Fall 2024: The PCP Theorem and Hardness of Approximation. We followed a combination of these lecture notes by Venkatesan Guruswami and Ryan O'Donnell and these lecture notes by Luca Trevisan. We proved the PCP theorem and looked at applications of the PCP theorem and the Unique Games Conjecture to hardness approximation.

Random Projects

• petsc-rs: I worked to create rust language bindings for the scientific computating library PETSc as part of the PhyPID group. I have since left the project and it has been taken over by other people.
• vido: 3rd place overall HackCU VI winners. It's video but shorter. It takes a 20 (ish) minute video and produces a 2-minute, summarized version using a variation on the knapsack problem.

• A while ago, during my sophomore and junior years of undergrad, I contributed a few articles to section.io's engineering-education page.
